The Street Where We Live!

This is the street where you will find the house that we live in.

This is the house that sits on the street where we live.

This is another view of the house that sits on the street on where we live.

This is the back of our car, with our favorite things, that you will find parked in front of the house that sits on the street of where we live.

This is the door you enter our house that sits on the street where we live.

This is our bathroom in the house that sits on the street where we live.
These are our laundry machines, you'll find them in our bathroom in the house that sits on the street where we live.

This is where the 2 girls sleep (for now...see bottom for explaination) in our house that sits on the street where we live.

This is Kenneth showing off our new fridge that you'll find in our kitchen, in our house that sits on the street where we live.
The inside.......
This is the milk you buy at the store in mass quainties, hoping they will last through the day, and you'll find them in the fridge, in the kitchen, in the house that sits on the street where we live.
This is the garage, where the boys sleep (see explaination) in the house that sits on the street where we live.
This is the door (on the left) that you entry our living room through, where you will find George Washington hanging over our piano, in the house that sits on the street where we live.
This is our living room (I've just turned around from the previous photo).....
This is our wood burning stove, you'll find in our living room.....
This is our TV corner, where sits our beautiful temple picture in our living room.
This is the other corner of the living room....(I'm getting tired of typing!)

This is our picture of the Savior that this photo doesn't do justice too, that you'll find in our house that sits on the street where we live.
Explaination: We are renting this home from Kenneth's father, he owns 3 homes on our street (photos to follow). This house is currently cut into 2 apartments, we are living in the main floor right now, but as soon as the tenant upstairs moves out, and after a colossal amount of cleaning and painting etc. we will be able to have the upstairs as well. This will add 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. We are living very tight and snug right now and have adopt those choice words spoken of a very wise man once: Patience is the Key Word!
The house Kenneth grew up in.
Kenneth's father's other house that he owns on our street, if you look closely you can see an American Flag in the 2nd level right window. There are 4 missionaries that live in that apartment, something fun for the kids to grow up with, having missionaries around!

Air Guitar

Remeber when you were young and playing an "Air Guitar" was the next best thing. The boys have been loving the theme song to Iron Man, and playing it on a regular basis. Mia just got into the groove as well.

Wait for it.......Wait for it.......Oh Snap! (If you don't get this you need to see the movie Bolt)

Spagetti Smile

I couldn't resist taking a few photos of Mia's little face before I washed her up. We had Spagetti for dinner and she LOVED it!

Espen's Baptismal Day

Today was Espen's baptism. We had a very intimate meeting with family, it was very nice with a strong spirit.

We had quite a time finding some clothes that fit Espen, in the end we found some. Thank goodness!
The big hit of the day was the homemade Root Beer we made, with dry ice and all!
Espen age 8.
Someone was a little put out of being asked to step out of the photos, so she slipped into a few of them.
Kenneth and Espen, it was a special day that Espen has waited a long time for. We were so glad to have such a lovely evening for Espen.

A Thing of Beauty

If one is to create a "Thing of Beauty" a great and willing assistant can only enhance this project!

One must also have the finest equipment at hand to turn ordinary flour, butter, sugar, eggs, salt and yeast into a culinary masterpiece. (This was my gift from Kenneth after the long 5 months apart....a new Bosch w/a stainless steel bowl, biggest motor all with an european plug!)

Careful inspection as the process is underway is vital to creating the "Ulitmate" cinnamon roll!

Let them raise to perfection while awaiting this classic gem!

Be prepared for a few casualities along the way.

A new oven is always a guessing game at first.

Be ever so watchful of little "mice" that seem to only enjoy the middle of the rolls.

While reading Sister Majorie Hinckley's little book called Small and Simple Things I found this classic little line:
"The smell of bread baking somehow slows down the world and feeds my soul in a small and simple way."

As a child, is there any better smell when you walk through your front door after a long day at school then freshly baked bread? I challenge anyone to find something that smells more heavenly than that. I was one of the luckiest children growing up, we had a mother who baked bread pretty much on a daily basis. Just walking through the door on an artic Alberta winter day, and taking a deep breath of that lovely aroma would chase all my troubles away and make the world right once more. I have a feeling that when we return the heavens after this life it will have the scent of freshly baked bread.

Our Car

This is our new van in Norway. It is roomy, long, a stick shift (which I love), and a heck of a project to park.

It is a great car, we love all the room.

Potpourri of Photos

Sabrina and her cousin Ane performed for us one evening.

Elin had William in giggles and smiles while trying to kick the soccer ball.

Jet Lag at its peak!
